Internship opportunities at PfA Wildlife Hospital are available to applicants from around the world. Each year, students from both India and abroad join us to gain hands-on experience in various fields. All internships have a minimum duration of 21 days. General Interns will work across various verticals within PfA Wildlife Hospital, assisting with relevant and priority tasks. Responsibilities may include maintaining the center and its facilities, data entry, and supporting rescue and release operations, among other duties. Requirement: Open to all Interns will collaborate with our communications team to write blogs and press reports, prepare monthly newsletters, and create content for social media. Requirement: Strong oral and written language skills, and basic digital proficiency in MS Office and Google Suite. Interns will work closely with our rehabilitation team to observe and report on the behavioral cues of various in-care animals. They will use this data to evaluate the effectiveness of rehabilitation techniques, including feeding, flight training, enclosure enrichment, and socialization. Requirement: Must be a student of or have a background in Zoology or Biology. |
Veterinary Interns will assist our wildlife veterinarians and rehabilitators with various clinical care and rehabilitation tasks. This includes treating injured animals, checking vitals, assisting during surgeries, and providing timely feeding and other care-related tasks to ensure the well-being of our in-care animals. Requirement: Must be a student of or have completed BVSc & AH (Bachelor’s in Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry) or DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine).
Rescue & Rehabilitation Internship Rescue and Rehabilitation Interns will work directly with our wildlife rescuers and rehabilitators. Responsibilities include accompanying rescuers to attend rescue calls and releases, as well as assisting the rehabilitation team with feed preparation and maintaining enclosures. Requirement: Prior experience with animal care or handling is preferable but not mandatory. Must be a student of or have a background in Zoology or Biology. Outreach Interns will support the outreach team by making cold calls to educational institutions and event venues to schedule appointments for educational workshops and seminars. They will also assist in conducting educational and wildlife awareness programs at educational institutions, resident welfare associations, and other events. Requirement: Proficiency in both Kannada and English, and must be comfortable with public speaking. |
