LIVING WITH THE WILD

Educational programmes for Schools and Students.

Protecting and nurturing urban ecosystems and wildlife requires the participation of people across all ages. To foster a healthy, liveable planet demands that each of us live responsibly - now and always.

Children are key to this effort of change, not only in building awareness, but also in action. Many of our rescue heroes, and advocates for wildlife and the environment - are children.

Our Educational programmes are designed to partner with Schools and Students, with fun, interactive sessions and activities.

We have sensitized close to 4,00,000
school children under the
Child Ecology program.

WildOne: Students for Wildlife series

WildOne: Students for Wildlife series

Our new WildOne series is a valuable primer for essential environmental awareness for children. It combines storytelling, film, games and physical activities to help children perceive their role in nurturing nature and ways to be involved in active conservation - starting with their homes and neighbourhoods.

What the series achieves:
  • Promotes healthier and more sustainable lifestyle choices
  • Sparks a regard and care for nature, an important responsibility for all the global citizens of today and tomorrow
  • Stimulates natural curiosity, opens up an understanding of the things we often take for granted
  • Enhances cognitive and analytical skills in children
  • Connects different streams and sciences in one go, everyday observation, logic and communication.
  • Opens up promising career options
  • Encourages outdoor activities during weekends and school holidays

Events

As an extension of our child ecology program, we conducted a summer camp for the school children which was held for over a week. The children enjoyed a nature walk, herping, bird watching, camera traps and pug marking, snake workshop and many such activities. We are keen to conduct similar camps for the children during their vacation and weekends.

PfA Loris Club

The PfA Loris Club brings together like-minded children, those who enjoy wildlife, nature and environmental issues. The club, hosted specifically in the school, offers outdoor experiences, diverse interactive activities, volunteering for wildlife, development of their environmental acumen, and much more. It helps students build a key connection with nature and an opportunity to explore their interests in the wildlife arena.

The club can be managed both remotely and at the school, with days at our centre, in various nature-rich locations, museums and more

Write to us if you’d like to start the PfA Loris Club in your school.
